WHERE IT BEGAN...
Susan's journey is a testament to her unwavering determination and passion for healthcare. Armed with her first Master's degree in Counseling at age 37, she embarked on a 25+ year career in healthcare, leaving an indelible mark across various sectors-from hospice, and supporting the developmentally disabled, to excelling in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and long-term care industries.

The commitment to sharing vital information for the betterment of others has been a constant thread throughout Susan's career. Whether in management, counseling, or sales, she ensured that her wealth of knowledge reached the right people, advocating for those who couldn't necessarily help themselves.
mastering the art of overcoming challenge
In her early 30s, Susan faced a profound health challenge—severe endometriosis that led to permanent menopause due to a pharmaceutical drug. Battling significant weight gain, uncontrollable cravings, and a hormonal imbalance, she navigated through various diets but found lasting relief through stomach bypass surgery. With this incredible transformation, she lost 100 pounds and learned the significance of incorporating daily supplements into her routine, enabling her to maintain a healthier lifestyle. Battling severe osteoporosis and determined to improve her bone scans, Susan incorporated various methods such as hormone replacement therapy, peptides, and supplements, achieving a normal spine and slight osteopenia in her hips over the past 18 years.
NAVIGATING CHANGE & LOSS WITH PROFOUND GRACE
Never one to shy away from change, Susan and her husband boldly decided to leave their 25-year farming life in 1999, relocating to North Carolina for new opportunities. Despite personal obstacles and the stress of adapting to a new environment, Susan thrived as a successful neuroscience pharmaceutical sales representative. Her resilience shone through when, at age 58, she moved back to Minnesota to care for her mother, simultaneously building a thriving career and earning her second Master's degree in Law.

Susan's life took a poignant turn in 2017 when her husband of 41 years passed away. The challenges continued in 2020 with a job layoff during the COVID pandemic. Despite these setbacks, Susan's indomitable spirit and firm belief that "You are never too old to learn or adapt to change” drive her forward through life's uncertainties.
Susan's story is a powerful testament, boldly affirming that age is not a limit but a gateway to continual growth and fulfillment. For the past four years, she has basked in the vibrant embrace of Hawaii, deeply appreciating its rich cultural heritage and profound connection to the land and sea. Her unwavering commitment to creating a life of personal meaning, connection, and resilience continues to shine as she crossed paths with a remarkable man with whom she now shares a life filled with love and joy. Her journey echoes loudly: no obstacle is insurmountable, and every chapter of life holds the potential for profound transformation and happiness.
